Dear Incoming Freshman,
Lane Tech Aquatics would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into Lane Tech High School. You should be very proud to be selected out of the over 10,000 applicants. Only about 10% of the applicants are accepted into Lane.
Lane Tech is called the School of Champions, since Lane wins multiple varsity championships every year. The aquatic programs have had a major contribution the past
7 years. The Men's Swimming & Diving team has Won SEVEN City Championships since
the 2001- 2002 season and had a 2nd place finish in 06-07. The Women's Swimming & Diving team has won the last five
of the last six City Championships with a 2nd place finish in 08. The Water Polo teams have continued to become stronger each year with a highlight of a Women's City Championship in 2005. Lane is also one of only a handful of city schools to produce state qualifiers.
Competing in athletics teaches you many new skills. It will teach you how to manage your time, strengthen your body, eat healthy, and make new friends while having fun. The friends you make in high school sports will be your friends for the rest of your life.
